Review: All About The D

Based on the synopsis alone, one might think that on the surface, Lex Martin and Leslie McAdam’s All About the D is nothing more than a superficial novel that is “challenged” when it comes to plot. However, I’ll be damned if what lies beneath the surface of this romance contains so much more depth than I was originally prepared for! I was caught off guard and I was overwhelmed by how quickly and deeply I was ensnared by this unique love story! This magnificent romance brought more to the table than I was expecting.   All About the D is SO MUCH more than a solid gold hit romance; it is a diamond in the rough that simply MUST be discovered and unearthed in order to be fully appreciated!

All About the D features Josh, a mega-rich, blue-blooded dreamboat with a face that ruins panties, a body that is made for sin and bloodlines that run nearly two centuries deep.  He creates a website where he blogs about his physical “assets” and photographs himself during episodes of “self-love” for the enjoyment of his nearly two million followers.  Concerned about protecting his identity, he decides to hire legal counsel to protect his numerous business interests and safeguard his reputation.   Enter Evie, a curvy, highly intelligent, awkward and quirky attorney who swiftly falls under his spell.

At that point explosive, dizzying chemistry and combustible bedroom antics ensue.

“He’s sweet and thoughtful and sexy as sin.” ~Evie

“Everything about this woman calls to me.” ~Josh

Another fascinating aspect of All About the D is the ingenious way that these two authors managed to deal with the subject matter concerning Josh and his private online “escapades.”  I felt no judgement or reproach!  Believe my words:  Lex Martin and Leslie McAdam have created a story line that fosters curiosity,  inspires intense, flagrant arousal and openly encourages one to explore the depths of their sexuality regardless of any possible censure.

Whatever impressions that may initially come across in the blurb, what makes All About the D such a triumph was how well the authors were able to surprise their readers with the depth of the emotional content.

“He shoots me one of those sexy smiles, and my insides feel warm and gooey, like he’s slowly melting me.” ~ Evie

“She’s drawn me in like an essential nutrient I didn’t know my body needed, and now that I’ve had it, I know what my body is missing.” ~Josh

This book had me feeling swoony and had me levitating in the clouds from happiness at the same time that it left me in fits of giggles.  A quarter of the way into All About the D and I knew that this would be one of my all time favorite romantic comedies even though I was nowhere near finished reading it yet!!!

All About the D features the type of pure, everlasting love that dreams are made of !!! It floored me at the same time that the  burrowed its way deep into my heart.  I reveled in the HEAT at the same time that I was touched, moved and caught up in a web of emotion that I never wanted to escape from!!!  This book hit me bone deep and made me adore these characters from start to finish!

There are no words that can do All About the D justice. This book is going onto my “to be read AGAIN” shelf!

So give it a chance!!!

Should you read it??

You better believe it!

That is this Naughty Girl’s Final Word.

Overall: 5/5 refreshing, surprising stars!!!

A sexy new romantic comedy from USA Today bestselling author Lex Martin and bestselling author Leslie McAdam…

I’m known for being formal. Meticulous. Professional.

So you’d never suspect I spend my nights photographing my impressive junk for a NSFW blog. Don’t roll your eyes. I’m not bragging. I have millions of followers who’ll tell you they live for my posts.

I’m like a superhero, saving humanity one dick pic at a time.

Except leading a double life means I need someone to help me protect my anonymity, so that no one, especially my family, ever discovers my online celebrity.

When I call one of the most respected law firms in town, I expect quality legal advice and confidentiality. Not a sinfully sexy attorney whose dangerous curves and soul-piercing gray eyes make me want to personally demonstrate my particular skill set.

I shouldn’t be tempted.

Especially when she knows all of my best-kept secrets. But everyone has a breaking point. And I’ve met mine.

*** All About the D is a full-length standalone and 99 cents only during the preorder. Due to adult situations and sexual content, it’s recommended for readers over the age of 18. ***

Leslie McAdam is a California girl who loves romance, Little Dude, and well-defined abs. She lives in a drafty old farmhouse on a small orange tree farm in Southern California with her husband and two small children. Leslie always encourages her kids to be themselves – even if it means letting her daughter wear leopard print from head to toe. An avid reader from a young age, she will always trade watching TV for reading a book, unless it’s Top Gear. Or football. Leslie is employed by day but spends her nights writing about the men you fantasize about. She’s unapologetically sarcastic and notoriously terrible at comma placement (that’s what editors are for!). Always up for a laugh, Leslie tries to see humor in all things. When she’s not in the writing cave you’ll find her fangirling over Beck, camping with her family, or mixing up oil paints to depict her love of outdoors on canvas.

Lex Martin is the USA Today bestselling author of Shameless and The Dearest Series. She writes contemporary romances, the sexy kind with lotsa angst, a whole lotta kissing, and the hot happily ever afters. When she’s not writing, she lives a parallel life as an English teacher. She loves printing black and white photos, listening to music on vinyl, and getting lost in a great book. Bitten by wanderlust, she’s lived all over the country but currently resides in the City of Angels with her husband and twin daughters.
